Shearling Vest

$425.00

A simple, cropped vest made from sheepskin shearling. Fully reversible.

Each vest is made from two sheepskin hides. They are cut by hand using a razor blade, please expect “imperfections” along cut edges, which are caused by the varying thickness of the hide. The wool texture and color also varies from hide to hide and even within a single hide, so each vest is unique and “mismatching” pieces are part of the character of the piece.

Please note that all vests may have small “bald spots” or other inconsistencies. I’ve embraced these as reminders that these pieces were once part of living beings. Please see photos for an example of what bald spots look like, and know that your piece may contain them.

Vest Sizing Notes:

The vests are made with enough ease to be comfortably worn over a sweater.

Vest size 1 measures ~19.5” pit to pit, 16.5” from back neck to waist hemline.

Vest size 2 measures ~20.75” pit to pit, 17” from back neck to waist hemline.

Vest size 3 measures ~22” pit to pit, 17.25” from back neck to waist hemline.

All of the shearling is reclaimed, sourced from a nonprofit whose mission is to reduce textile waste and keep deadstock fabrics and leathers out of landfills.

Designed, cut, and sewn by Lorna Dielentheis in Burlington, VT.
